Lorraine FILIBECK Obituary

Lorraine Filibeck passed on June 24, in Reno, Nevada. She is survived by two sisters, Rita Sanders and Merylee Peterson; her children, Dawn Hunter and her husband, Jim Hunter, Dave Filibeck and his wife, Ann Filibeck, Barbra Filibeck widow of Dan Filibeck, and Dayle Filibeck Edgerton and her spouse, Gordon Migliore; seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Lorraine was the wife of Don Filibeck, who preceded her in death in 2003. Lorraine was born and raised in Spokane, Washington, and lived in Sacramento, California, and Reno, Nevada, for many years.

She liked to sew, cook, and fish. She would sew special projects for her grandchildren. Lorraine's passion was reading. She could spend hours reading and enjoyed mysteries the most. Lorraine would exchange paper bags full of books with friends and family and made sure she got through each one. Her sense of humor was not always on display, but she could be playful. Her memory and breadth of knowledge had us consulting her like our own private Siri. Lorraine was loving, intelligent, strong, and independent. We will miss her more that we can say.
