Margaret MILSTEAD Obituary
Margaret Emma Milstead passed away July 14, 2021. She was born November 29, 1935 at home in Detroit Michigan to Albert and Rosa Glueck. She was the oldest of two children. Margaret grew up in Detroit and valued hard work and perseverance. In her teens, she lived next door to one of Alberts relatives in Detroit who suggested they become pen pals. This eventually grew into a loving relationship and they were ultimately married on November 15, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan. They were blessed with five children: James, Charles, Rodney, Sharon and Robert. Starting out life together with Albert, a United States Air Force Serviceman, she was uprooted and moved to Andersen AFB Guam, Ellsworth AFB, S. Dakota, Fairchild AFB Washington, Woomera, S. Australia, Glasgow, Montana, and then finally settling down in Medical Lake, Washington. She developed a love for the outdoors, gardening, and fishing with her husband Albert Milstead. Margaret is survived by her sons James of Medical Lake, WA, Charles (Julie) of Seattle, WA, Rodney (Lisa) of Santa Barbara, CA and Robert (Patti) Colorado Springs, CO. She has 10 grandchildren: Summer (Brad), Levi (Evelyn), Rory, Alexa, Cameron, Cody, Jessica (Caleb), Nicole (Christopher), Joshua and Johnathan; eight great-grandchildren: Karter, Liam, Jaxon, Daxton, Octavia, Cylis, Ellie, Gentry and Emery. She was preceded in death by her only daughter Sharon in 1983, her parents and her loving husband Albert.
The viewing will be held at 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on July 27, 2021, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224, with interment at 2:30 PM at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
