Marianne MUELLER Obituary

MUELLER, Marianne Katharina Marianne Katharina Mueller at age 82 passed away peacefully surrounded by family at home on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. Born August 19, 1936 to Margarete Roener and Karl H. Schneider in the beautiful baroque city of Fulda, Germany, Marianne was baptized in Christus Kirche Lutheran Church. She is the eldest of three sisters Hannelore (Wilhelm) Muller of Spokane, WA and Christa (Bernhardt) Gutermuth of Gesfeld, Germany. Their father served in the German Army and they lost their mother at a very young age during a WWII air bombing in 1944. Marianne met her husband Hans G. Mueller in 1956 and was married shortly thereafter. Hans was drafted and served five years in the U.S. Army with four of those years in Germany. They would have celebrated their 62nd Anniversary on December 11th. Shortly after moving to the United States in 1959, Marianne's younger sister Hannelore joined them in Spokane. They were very happy in Spokane and by 1966 were blessed with two sons, Scott in 1963 and Mark in 1966. In 1986 they opened a successful bakery, Hans and Marianne's Bakerei and Kaffee Stube, in the Spokane Valley. They specialized in German pastries and breads. Marianne retired from the bakery in 1997 to enjoy life with their four grandchildren. They continued traveling the world, visiting family and meeting new friends along the way. Marianne and Hans loved to cook, bake and entertain and will always be remembered for their "super" parties. Marianne is survived by her husband of 62 years, Hans Mueller; their son Scott and his wife Debbie, and grandson Christopher; their son Mark his wife Tammy, granddaughter Brittany Mueller-Bakken and her husband Peder and great-grandsons Riktor and Finley; granddaughter Morgan (Mueller) Canaday, her husband Cody; granddaughter Taylor Mueller; her sisters Hannelore Muller and Christa Gutermuth; and a huge family of nieces, nephews, and many friends across the U.S. and Germany. She will be greatly missed by all those that knew her. Memorial Service will be held at One* Ministries 15601 E. 24th Ave., Spokane Valley, WA 99037 (24th & Sullivan) - Thursday, November 8th at 2:30pm. Reception to follow.
