Mary Riddle

RIDDLE, Mary J. (Age 102) Was born on December 14, 1906 near Ritzville, WA to parents Amos and Hattie Belle Setters. She entered into Heaven on November 12, 2009. She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, J. C. Riddle; by five brothers James, George, Robert, Walter, and Harry; and one sister, Katherine. She is survived by her daughter, Joan Flatt of Spokane, WA; her son Warren Riddle of Mead, WA; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Mary graduated from Cheney Normal School and taught first grade for 13 years. She married J.C. Riddle on July 10, 1938. Mary and J.C. lived and farmed on Peone Prairie from 1944 until they fully retired and moved to Fairwood Retirement Resort in 1997. After J.C. died, Mary returned to the Peone farm to live with her son and daughter-in-law for five years. A memorial service will be held at her church, Foothills Community Church, at N. 11102 Forker Road, on Saturday, November 21 at 1 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Foothills Community Church or Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery at 1004 E. 8th, Spokane WA 99202.
