Matthew Earl Bowman passed away on March 1st, 2017 in the arms of his family and loved ones after a brief battle with cancer. Matt was born on March 8th, 1960 in Roseburg, OR. He is survived by his mother Joyce Bowman and preceded in death by his
father William Bowman and his grandparents. He left behind two children, and their loving wives, Bradley (Alana) and Daniel (Rory) Bowman, as well as four beautiful grandchildren: Peyton, Colton, Brooke and Abigail. He is also survived by his three siblings: Carole Scott (Oregon), Dennis Bowman (Oregon), Maximilian West (Oregon), and their families. He is also survived by his fiancée Ginger McCandless. His family and friends describe him as a fun loving and hardworking man. Matt was ambitious from an early age and established the first Gas Station and Auto Repair business in Suncrest. He enjoyed being an entrepreneur and small business owner; however, his biggest passions were boating and golfing.
Later in life, he developed a deeply loving relationship with Ginger and spent the last year of his life living with her on Long Lake - a place close to his heart. He embraced his deepening relationships with his children and grandchildren and had many hopes for the future. His family is profoundly saddened that his life was tragically cut short by illness.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service that will be held on Saturday, March 18th, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Westgate Christian Church at 7111 N. Nine Mile Road in Spokane.
