Maureen BOGLE Obituary

BOGLE, Maureen L.

Former Spokane resident Maureen "Moby" Bogle passed away peacefully November 17 after a short illness. She was born in 1924 at the family's sawmill near Pine Creek Idaho. She grew up and attended school in Spokane. Later she enrolled at the University of California and the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles finally completing her BAE and MAE degrees at the Art Institute of Chicago. Moby was an exceptional scientific illustrator of natural history subjects and later developed into an accomplished enamelist while at the same time employed as an art instructor at Glencoe's Central School. She was the last of her family's generation. Siblings Arvilla Somers-Heyer, Ramona Faulkner, and Michael Patrick Bogle preceeded her in death. She will be missed by both family, friends, and colleagues who experienced firsthand her enthusiasm for travel, music, and the arts. At Moby's request services and interment are private.
