Mike, you had a heart of gold and an adventurous spirit. I remember wood shop with you. We both finished our projects ahead of time, we both aced the course, then we cut class for the remainder of the course. Nothing but fond memories.

I always felt the JOY of music around Mike and I sat in many times with his various bands. Always loved his attitude and his way of making YOU feel welcome. God bless his soul......I was surprised to know he had 6 children! God bless them also and all those who loved him.

Knew Mike for several years in the eighties and nineties when we worked together at Music City. I remember one instance when he an I were sponsors at the Lionel Hampton Jazz festival and Clint Eastwood, a jazz pianist and former mayor of Carmel Ca. In the eighties. Lionel would play his jazz festival and Clint agreed to come up to Moscow for Lionels festival. During the after show meet and greet Mike walked up to Clint while he sitting with his hands wrapped around around a beer, and said “you know there’s only three tough guys left”, and Clint raised his head and Mike looked right at him and said “you, me and Bronson”, after a pause Clint started chuckling.

Mike was a friend from years ago. We both graduated from Ferris High School in Spokane. We probably spent 2 years palling around with each other. He was especially close to Walt Piper, who was killed in Vietnam in '66. Mike was one of the "Good Guys" and was always pleasant to be around. I've thought of him often but never managed to never tie up with him again after high school. I'm a better person for having known him, and a lesser person knowing he's gone. RIP Mike.
