Millard Adkins Obituary


ADKINS, Millard Wayne
(August 28, 1937-November 15, 2011)

Millard went home to be with his Lord, November 15, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer. He leaves behind his wife Clara of almost 55 years; two sons, Ron and daughter-in-law Dawn, Rick and daughter-in-law Dixie; one daughter, Sheila Brock and son-in-law Jay; and daughter-in-law Kathy Adkins; 11 grandchildren, Katrina Lasalle, John Prince, Christina Boyd and husband Tim, Amanda Adkins, Matt Brock and wife Lisa, Jason Brock and wife Cami, Melissa, Laura, Aimee, Katie, and Mitchell Adkins; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn Hagreen, and Mary Lou Sims; three brothers, Milford and wife Eva, Victor and wife Bonnie, and Leo. He is preceded in death by his parents, Newton and Bernetta Adkins; two sons Rodger and Russ; two brothers Leonard, Eugene Rex Adkins and his wife Charlotte; and two brothers-in-law, Bill Hagreen and Joe Sims. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 19th at 11:00 am, at the Hillyard Baptist Church with a luncheon to follow. Donations may be made in his memory to Hillyard Baptist Church, 2121 E. Wabash, Spokane, WA 99207.
