Mona L. STILLWELL

1948 - 2022

With great love and great sadness, we say goodbye, for now.

Mona Stillwell passed on Sunday, April 24, 2022. Mona was born July 23, 1948, in Spokane Valley, to Madelene and Charles Muse. She attended Trent Grade School and East Valley High School, graduating in 1967.

She developed a great work ethic and took pride in it. When young, Mona worked at a poultry processing plant alongside her mother, then spent most of her adult life in the hospitality/restaurant industry.

Mona bartended and waitressed and was great at both. She helped name, open, and manage Sea Galley Restaurants in Seattle, then spent many years working at the Crossroads Café, and Usk Bar and Grill became a well known personality in that community. Her fun character brought people together, forming lifelong friendships.

In addition to being a hard worker and provider, Mona was a loving spouse, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Mona had undying SPUNK!! She loved to fish, spend time in the mountains and hang out in her swimming pool. Mona had a magic way of being feisty and funny, rough and tough, kind, loyal and loving, ALL AT THE SAME TIME!! She lived life on her own terms, and rarely was she not smiling, even later in life when illness dominated her being. She is pain free now.

Mona is survived by her fiancé and love of her life, John Campbell, 2 daughters, Kassa and Crystal, brother Monty, 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and dear lifetime friends. She is predeceased by her mother and father, and younger brother Jimmy Muse.

A Celebration of Life will take place Sunday 2:00 p.m. June 12, 2022 at the American Legion 105 East Timber St., Cusick, WA 99119.
