Nancy BURLEY Obituary

BURLEY, Nancy Louisa August 27, 1949 ~ November 1, 2014 Nancy Louisa Burley (65), passed away November 1, 2014 at the Hospice House of Spokane with her family by her side. She was born in Bryn Mawr, PA, the daughter of the late Commander Charles F Jr. and Susan Bergh. Nancy graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1968 after serving as the first Rotary exchange student to Hopetoun, Australia in 1967. She attended Eastern Washington University where she met her husband of 44 years, Wayne, who she married in 1970. In addition to raising her two sons, Nancy worked for many years as a real estate paralegal and then later helped manage Electrical Service Products, the business started with her husband in 1986. Nancy lived a life of compassion, humble generosity, and love of family. She was an avid genealogist and thrived on keeping the family stories and traditions alive. Nancy also enjoyed quilting, but even more importantly, she loved creating quilts for family, friends and charities. She is survived by her husband Wayne; brothers Robert, Bill and Carl; sons Mason and Todd and their wives Laurel and Tricia along with seven grandchildren (Wyatt, Kymani, Chloe, Isiah, Lucca, Vander, and Micah). A celebration of her life will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, November 15 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (jdrf.org).

You are in my heart and prayer, Wayne and family. Nancy was such a shining light, and competent secretary at St. Aloysius School many years ago. Her ability to calmly multi-task; to be interested and caring toward faculty, parents, and students; to bring her smile and energy to each new day were tremendously supportive to all of us, and will not be forgotten.

May Nancy now live in God's eternal Love and Light. May Christ's deep and lasting Peace be with you.

So sorry for your departure, Nancy. So, so sorry for your loss, Wayne and family.

I have had my losses recently and will weep for some time to come I am sure. I wish you could trade in grieving for re-experiencing the joy in the love of one departed.
