Patricia DeANDRE Obituary
Patricia Anne DeAndre, daughter of Florence and Joseph Bennett, went home on July 27 to be with her beloved husband Doug and to meet her Savior face to face. She is survived by her children Kit (Janet), David (Jeanette), Megan (Jeff), Richard (April), Vince (Amy), fifteen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren, her sister Deborah (David) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
As a girl, Pat grew up in St. Helen's, Oregon, visiting the historic family farm regularly where the horse came to the back door in the morning for breakfast. The horse is gone but the historic farm is still occupied by family. She spent family time on "Pixie", a 40 foot twin engine ocean cruiser that they took up the Washington coast into Canada on summer vacations. She learned about the tides, tying knots and reading the weather. Pat was an accomplished ballet dancer and performed throughout her young life.
The family moved to Moses Lake to a home on the water that still stands today. After high school she attended Marylhurst College, a school run by nuns. We think this is where she learned her no nonsense attitude and ability to handle awkward situations with love. She attended Kinman Business University in Spokane where she met and fell in love with Douglas DeAndre. After completing school, she and Doug were married and began their family.
She loved golf and spent numerous hours with her family on the golf course. In 1979, she attended a neighborhood bible study which resulted in the whole family being saved and becoming early members of the Opportunity Free Methodist Church. This began another chapter in her life as a wise, giving mentor where she served in the church for years. Pat began working with Doug in 1989 doing taxes, payroll and accounting services at the home business of D&D Associates.
Pat will be remembered for the genuine love and kindness she poured over those she knew. Her wisdom, love, acceptance and understanding will be missed by all. Especially her laugh which lives on in Debbie.
A combined memorial service for Pat and Doug DeAndre will be held on Saturday October 1 at 11AM at Opportunity Christian Fellowship 1313 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, Pastor Dan Bonney officiating.
