Paul Kinzel Obituary

Paul grew up in Spokane and graduated from Ferris High School class of 1987. During the Summer of 1987, Paul attended Silver Lake Camp as a counselor and met his love of his life Kelley (AKA his Queeny) while he was water skiing. To get her attention he skied close to the dock and sprayed her with water while she was laying out in the sun. They realized at that moment they had an attraction that would never sperate them. Paul followed Kelley back to Yakima while she finished high school and he attended YVC Jr. college. In 1990 Paul and Kelley moved to Spokane. Paul proposed, and they got married within a month. During this time Paul attended and graduated from Eastern Washington University with a double major in Marketing and Finance graduating 1993. Paul began his career in finance and mortgage lending. August 14, 1993 Paul’s first child was born, Robert (Robby) Paul Kinzel. Within two years his second child was born, Amanda (Mandy) Lynn Kinzel. Paul volunteered as sport coaches, parent groups, and any activity he could to be involved in his kid’s lives. Paul’s priority was his family. He selflessly put them first and loved them daily. Mandy married Judd Lewis August 2016 and Robby is engaged to marry Bri Leslie July 2018. Paul was outgoing and adventurous. He loved sports, watching the Seahawks, riding his motorcycle, hiking, being in the sun, and spending every available moment with Kelley and his children. Paul recently celebrated his 27th wedding anniversary in the Caribbean on a cruise. He told everyone that he had his 27th honeymoon with his Queeny! Paul past away unexpectedly January 17th 2018 at 2:18am. His smile and love will be forever missed and never forgotten! Paul was an organ donor. His donation will help up to 60 people. Even in his death he ensured others where taken care of. More information on a celebration of his life service will follow for family and friends. Photo of Paul with Kelley (his Queeny) reflect he wouldn’t ever have wanted to be pictured without her.

I was truly blessed and lucky to get to work with Paul for many years at Chase, his energy and hard work were always an inspiration to me. As were his dedication and love for his family and friends. What I remember most is his smile, it was so genuine and you couldn't help but smile with him. And he always had that sparkling smile on his face, no matter what life was throwing at him and I always admired that about Paul! Our prayers are with Kellie, Robby and Amanda and the rest of his family and friends.

We knew Paul through Chase Bank. He assisted us twice with mortgage procedures. Not only was he a competent professional, he was kind, considerate, and went out of his way to be certain that we understood each and every step of the process. When he spoke of his family his eyes just beamed. His passing is a great loss not only to you, his beloved family, but to the entire community. Blaise Gartland and Chris Miller
