Paul KLINKE Obituary

KLINKE,
Paul D.

Paul Klinke was born in Lengby, Minnesota, May 28, 1927 and passed away October 16, 2016 at the age of 89. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Victoria Klinke, and predeceased by his first wife of 46 years, Carol Klinke. Paul is also survived by two sons and a daughter and their families: Greg and Jill Klinke and their children Matthew, Brittney, Ashley and Ben (Spokane); Brent and Heather Klinke and their sons Austin and Jordin (Spokane); Paula and Dan Gualtieri and their children Brianna and Thomas (Bothell, WA); Victoria's children - Tara and Luis Aguilera and their son Isaac (Spokane), Brian Kilwein and family (Forest Grove, OR) and Brandon Kilwein and family (Everett, WA). In addition, he has three great-grandchildren.
Paul was a husband, father, soldier, entrepreneur, leader, mentor and friend. He loved people and the opportunity of interaction on a daily basis. There are few people who have lived life as broad, varied, and adventurous. He liked to say to his guests "don't leave here hungry". While it is certain Paul would like to stay with us a little longer he did not leave hungry and lived a full life. We miss you Paul and we will try not to leave here hungry.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 11:30 AM at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9704 N. Division, Spokane, WA. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke Lutheran Church.

I worked for Paul and Carol in Spokane Washington first at Rax then when granny's buffet opened Paul pulled me over there. My last name was different at the time it was Braley. Paul was such a kind man always smiling and always had a kind word. I was saddened to see that he had passed but at least he's in heaven with Carol who was also a beautiful person. God bless you and your families Brent and Greg.

My family and I give our sincere condolences to Paul's family. We have known Paul for many years, since he opened Granny's in North Spokane. We have always spoken with him at each of our many dining visits over the years. He was always such a very cordial person. We will miss Paul's smiling greeting and conversation. Too, I will add, being a board member of and in behalf of the Over The Hill Gang - Golf Club of over 120 members, who dines at Timber Creek Buffet twice a year, we extend our sincere condolences.

I had the pleasure of serving Paul working for his marketing company of 26+ years. From Rax Restaurants, Granny's Buffet, Elmers and Tmbercreek, I've never met a more dedicated, hard working person. RIP Paul- hope its your turn to get served for eternity.
