I will never forget the little general. We became friends as neighbors and on the mat. We talked for hours on the phone about our matches and how to improve. We had many state wrestling tournaments together. I think of him often. Randy was very lucky to have Liz because she knew how to calm him down when necessary!

BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN I was lucky enough to reconnect with Randy and Liz by chance 5 years ago doing some work for them. We became great friends and made some wonderful memories in this time.
Ill share this, Randy always had a smile when we seen him, but most of all always asked How are you making you feel appreciated and how is Matlock One of his favorite grade school athlete students. I think he seen in Matlock what we seen in him amazing athlete and always wondered what happened to him. In this last few years I assured him Matlock is doing great and he and I talk about the many Hacks we recieved from the half oar paddle in Randys office Think after about 4 5 well maybe 6 we both got the point. Kept us on the straight and narrow for sure.
Over the last few years, when I would stop by Randy would be watching one sport or another in his recliner with Bella his dog, on his lap. I WOULD SAY, Randy how about the Zags? First response well, Im not sure, how are thingz & How is Scott Matlock I said I am sure he is great. Then Randy and I would talk about sports A to Z for a bit.
I have to say just a great man, ref, coach, Phys Ed teacher and Family man. I am glad to of gotten to reconnect with him as adults while becoming friends and to Liz his wonderful wife.
Ill keep the good memories and sending Love to the Family and his wife Liz.
THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES RANDY, You are missed & may you R.I.P. Coach

What a touching tribute to a very special guy. The short little Italian may not have been big in stature but he was big in heart. Sending our love to all of you. Mary & Gene
