The Kendall's were my second family during my teen years.. I babysat Bruce and then Robin but Jean and Bob became lifelong friends. Bob always laughed and I was so inspired by him. I will never forget him and I hang on to the memories that make me smile to this day. Jean is so lucky to have shared her life with such a great guy... we should all be that lucky. Love to you all, Beamar

In many ways he was like a father to me. My fondest memory of him was when he picked me up from the airport in November 1974. He was wearing a jacket that covered a plaid flannel shirt, introduced himself and we went to his car to drive into Spokane. It was an old red Toyota Land Cruiser with a brace of dead ducks on the front floor board, which he nonchalantly tossed in the back seat. I think the only reason they hired me was that I was not a duck hunter! He was the quintessential heart surgeon, always with a plan, skill and speed so necessary in the early days of heart surgery. I will miss him.

Extremely sad to hear of Bobs' passing...truly the definition of "Good People".....so many fond memories of ski trips to Silver Mountain on Wednesdays (playing liars poker at lunch), to heli trips in Nakusp.Bob loved life and always had a smile on his face...I am sure that Bob had no regrets and lived life to its' fullest..RIP ole friend
