Robin is survived by his husband, Issac Lavado; his mother and stepfather, Kim and Alan Kruskie; his father and stepmother, Wayne and Sheri Deist; and his brothers, Dustin (and nephew, Brenton), Jeremy, and Brandon Kruskie. He is also remembered by his grandmother, Terrie Risteen; his grandfather, Eugene Kruskie; his uncle and aunt, Jeff and Angie Risteen; his cousin, Ashley (Risteen) Moreno; and many close family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather and namesake, Robin Risteen, and his twin brother, Joshua.

Robin graduated from Cimarron High School in Las Vegas, and attended North Central High School and Salk Junior High in Spokane, where many of his close friends reside. He loved making people laugh, telling jokes, driving for Uber, and spending time with friends on the Pend Oreille River. His happiest moments were spent at his grandparents' river house.
