Ruby Joyce
Ruby Joyce Lucas was surrounded by family in Spokane, WA on March 5th, 2017 as she left this world to be reunited with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Ruby was born in Salem, OR on January 16th, 1936 to Dempsey Glover and Bessie (White) Glover.
She spent the majority of her youth in Spokane and as an adult spent many years in both Spokane and Umatilla, OR. Ruby was a devoted wife to Charles Lucas (married in April of 1968) and a mother of eight children- Vonda (Ed), Gary (Tammy), Sharon, William (Mary), Barbara, Richard, David (Cheryl) and Kelly.
Ruby had a green thumb and could often be found tending to her garden. She also had an affinity for the sea and spent countless hours watching the ocean and all of the wildlife that resided within.
Ruby will be remembered by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both parents; her soulmate, Chuck; one daughter, Barb and grandson, Michael.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 10th, at MUELLER'S TRI-CITIES FUNERAL HOME, 1401 S. Union Street in Kennewick, WA.

Ruby was an exceptional woman. She was stubborn, but loved her family with everything she had in her. She was devoted to God, and never let me forget how wonderful God is. She was always there for me, no matter the situation. I will always remember her warm smile and big hugs. I'm so beyond lucky to have known such a beautiful woman, whom I call Grandma. RIP Grandma Ruby. You will always hold a special place in my heart.

Mom you will be greatly missed. My heart aches so dearly, but now you are in heaven with the Lord and all your loved ones that you have missed so dearly. I will always remember the times we had together going to Wallowa Lake and the joy we had on several camping trips.
