Russell DIONNE Obituary

DIONNE, Russell Neal (Age 58) Russ was born January 14, 1960 in Spokane, WA and passed away in Spokane on October 15, 2018. He was the second and youngest son of Dale and Gaye Dionne of Spokane. Russ graduated from Rogers High School in 1978. He married his high school sweetheart, Lori Carlson in 1982, were together for 26 years and raised a family here in their hometown. As a family they loved camping and going to 7 Mile to ride motorcycles. Russ, aka Skully/Rusty, had a passion for motorcycles from an early age. He owned many over the years and raced them back in the day. His love for bikes (motorcycles) spilled over into the lives of his three children to this day. He and his brother Steve also rode together for some time. Russ's mom told stories of how he loved to take things apart and put them back together as a child. This never left him as he collected bikes and cars over the years, working on them, buying and selling. Russ really loved "the hunt", always searching for his next treasure. This was a special interest Russ had with his dad as well as attending car shows. He was known to help anyone that needed a hand with their lawn mower or snow blower and the like. He was very giving of his time and skills and loved the conversations that came with it. Russ worked at Boeing/Spokane then Triumph Composite Systems for 28 years. He was loved by many and is sorely missed. His co-workers would say how much they loved his sense of humor and what a great guy he was. He was a hard and dedicated worker and a good friend. "Just ask Russ" some would say. He was more than happy to help when needed. Preceded in death by his father, Dale Dionne. Russ is survived by his mother, Gaye Dionne and brother Steve Dionne; Steve's wife Connie and sons Tom and Matt Dionne; Tom's wife Kirsten and their children Claire and Noah. Russ's children, Nicholas, Cameron and Tara Dionne held an extra special place in his heart. He was undeniably proud of them. He brought home a tiny Suzuki 50 motorcycle for Nicholas when he was just three years old! All three continue to ride bikes and will always be grateful for their father instilling that passion in them. Ride on! Your father will be watching over you. A heartfelt gathering was held by his co-workers at Triumph. An additional service is not planned.
