Sol BAGBY

Spokane - Sol was a sweet and complex being. From birth, we could see he was an ethereal spirit, almost as if he were from another planet. As a young child, he was curious about everything. He loved lizards, insects, science, and the natural world. He walked lightly on his tiptoes as if floating. He could play piano, bass, and guitar. He loved the music of Bob Marley, Stravinsky, and Kurt Cobain. He was a quiet person, but very articulate when he spoke. He possessed a wry sense of humor. He was a dreamer. And a quiet rebel. He traveled and had many adventures with his family in Mexico, Hawaii, Europe, Bangladesh, Thailand, and New Zealand. As he grew older he became interested in more esoteric concepts, like mysterious ancient civilizations, astrology, the hexagon storm of Saturn, lucid dreams, and the teachings of Ram Dass and Buddha. Best of all, he knew true love. Sol taught us that we cannot change or keep anyone. We have to let our loved ones go where they may go. This is Sol's gift to us, a reminder to hold one another close--and then let go? the gift we give Sol is his freedom. Fly Sol, and be free. He is survived by his mom and dad, Beth Carroll and Jon Bagby; his sister, Sadie Bagby; his Grammy, Bill Carroll; aunts, uncles, and many cousins on both the Carroll and Bagby sides of the family. He is preceded in death by his grandma, Connie Bagby; grandpa, George Bagby; grandpa, Richard Carroll; uncles, Tim and Chris Carroll.
