Dear Connie and family,
I am so very sorry to hear of uncle Steve's sudden passing I will miss him very much. Most people grow up with their cousins, I grew up with my aunts and uncles, also my 13 year old daughter Ciara shares her great uncle's love of horses.
My deepest Condolences;

I can only imagine how much Steve's family will miss him, he was such a 'larger than life' personality and so full of love for everyone. He was a dear friend to my son, Mike Warner, and it was always a pleasure to have him in my home when they were in high school. I pray that your memories of his love and care will sustain you through this time of grief.

Years ago I met Steve playing Poker and he could play a mean hand thats for sure. The thing I remember though most was when he found a little newborn baby a home and he was so kind to the young mother. Your family will be in our prayers

Steve was one of the best friends anyone could ever have had. And one of my best teachers.
Steve showed me that it's possible to be fearless.
Or, at least, to act in spite of fear.
Steve taught me about what it means to be a friend.
That if you're focused on what you can get from the relationship, it's not really friendship.
Steve taught me that pain is unimportant, when you have something BIG to accomplish.
And that while pain is inevitible, suffering is optional.
Steve encouraged my inate curiosity. Fed it!
He frequently challenged me to do things I thought I could never do (nearly killed me, more than once).
Steve taught me that everyone can learn SOMETHING from anyone.
And that each of us had something to teach someone...
Steve taught me to love football.
And I've passed that on to at least one or two of my sons.
Steve taught me the value of doing something!
Especially when it seems there is nothing you can do.
Steve taught me that there is more to life than we can see, feel, touch.
No matter who we are. Or what we think we know.
Steve taught me that you don't have to be good, to do good.
And that you don't have to be sitting in church, to connect with, to honor, that something more!
He taught me that if you're not having some fun along the way, you're probably doing something wring.
And he began to teach me all this while we were still teenagers.
For my part, I am still learning.
I will miss my friend; my teacher.

Connie, Christeena, Michael and Kendra:
How I remember the warm welcome to the Spokane area back in 1989 when we first moved in. Our family will forever cherish the many wonderful experiences we shared with your family. You made a significant difference in our lives and we appreciate the contributions and friendship. We extend our humblest prayers to the family, and extend our deepest sympathy to all over Steve's passing. He's probably found Hoss by now and is riding up a storm! Love to all....
