Vicki WATSON Obituary

WATSON,
Vicki Lynne

Passed away surrounded by her children and loved ones on August 21st, 2016. She was born in Seattle, WA February 23rd,1960 to Terry and Jess Stone. Her children meant everything to her as well as well as helping others anytime she could. She worked with developmentally disabled people in the community going on outings and celebrating life! Vicki loved the thrift stores, gardening and dancing. She was truly at peace in the outdoors and spent most of her free time that way. Vicki is survived by her daughter, Toria Rollins; son Austin Watson; and grandsons Dionte Rollins and Austin Watson Jr. The Family would like to give a big thank you to Cancer Care Northwest and Hospice of Spokane for their care and guidance during her journey. A big hug and huge thank you to all of her friends who showered us with love as we struggled. We will miss the comfort of your eyes, beautiful. RIP MAMA!!!!

The family will have a celebration of life. Please email Toria at [email protected] for the details.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Vicki in my formative years as her daughter and I were best friends in elementary school. She just plain made everything FUN! I don't think she could keep from smiling even if she tried. She was a great cook ( I can still remember her making us stuffed bell peppers) and would take us shopping. She was a loving Mom and someone that I always loved to be around. Her spirit surpasses her time here on Earth and I know she is dancing in heaven.

My cousin Vicky was an amazing woman and I would love to pay tribute to her in this way. As some people journey through life they leave footprints wherever they go, footprints of kindness and love, courage and compassion, humor and inspiration, joy and faith. Even now that she is gone we can still look back and clearly see the trail she left behind. A trail bright with hope invites us to follow in the years to come as she prepares a place for us. Her smile could light up a room. She was courageous, and a real fighter that was a true example of unconditional love and acceptance of others. She would go the extra mile to help others asking nothing in return. She touched the lives of all she came in contact. She will truly be missed.

I have known this most beautiful, delightful, charming girl for many many years. Love her and will miss her so much. She was a co-worker when worked at SCC. We had so much fun together. Her smile was so unbelievable. I will never forget it. We just had lunch together about a month ago. She really didn't feel well but she knew it may be last time we seen each other. It was. The Lord wanted her. I could see why with a big heart she had. Vicky, I will seen you one day, it may not be today, tomorrow or months or years but some day. You'll be at that gate to cheer me on when I come. Love you my friend and will really miss you. Hugs, kisses, RIP. Karen Jay
