Virginia STEWART

Virginia Lee Stewart was born on November 16th, 1933, in Elkton, South Dakota, to Rudy and Ella (Heesch) Knuth. Virginia passed away on October 9th, 2025, at her home in Spokane Valley, Washington.

Virginia graduated from high school and junior college in Wenatchee, WA, and completed her degree in Sociology at Washington State College. She started her career as a social worker and other jobs related to her degree, using her experience in multiple states and even Guam. She retired from the Washington State Attorney General Office as a Consumer Fraud Investigator.

Virginia married Richard Stewart on September 8th, 1956, in Wenatchee, WA. They were able to travel a lot due to his military career.

Virginia attended South Side Christian Church. She liked playing card and dice games with friends and family. She also enjoyed traveling, camping, and seeing other countries with her husband, friends, and family.

Virginia was kind, quiet, and liked to read. She enjoyed working in the South Side Church at the food bank and driving for Meals on Wheels with Richard before age and physical limitations took over.

Virginia was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Stewart; and her parents, Rudy and Ella. Virginia is survived by her sons, Randy (Janelle) Stewart of Spokane, WA, and Ken Stewart of Panama City Beach, FL.
