HILDESHEIM, William M.
(Age 82)

William Marvin Hildesheim (Gramps), passed peacefully surrounded by family on June 16th, 2018 in Spokane, WA. He was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on October 23, 1935 to Calvin and Dorothy Hildesheim. William moved to Spokane with his family in 1951 and joined the US Navy in 1954, where he served aboard the USS Belle Grove. He then met and married the love of his life Lillian and helped raise her five girls. Lillian and William also raised their two grandchildren Casey (Stefanie) Hildesheim of Spokane, WA and Jessaca (Nick) Rife of Medical Lake, WA. He was a baker and retired from Rosauers after 31 years. He enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, walking, playing cards, going to car races and local high school sporting events. William is survived by his daughters: Linda (Steve) Bouck of Cheney, WA, Thelma (Ted) Lanman of Spokane, WA, Theresa (Wayne) Buyea of Airway Heights, WA, and Jenny Hoyt of Spokane, WA; his siblings: "Big" Joe (Mary) Hildesheim, Tom (Betty) Hildesheim, Joann (Stephen) Buck, Juanita Johnson, Hazel (Bill) Snow, and "Little" Joe (Patti) Hildesheim; his 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his beautiful wife Lillian, his daughter Laurie, his sisters Mary and Martha, his brother Dick, and his parents. A private graveside burial will be held at Fairmount Memorial. May Grandpa enjoy some old fashion relaxin' with Grandma in heaven. He will be loved always and dearly missed by all who knew him.
