Zandra Lee CAPEHART

Zandra Lee (Meese) Capehart passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, in Spokane, WA. She was born on July 22nd, 1947, in Blackfoot, ID to Ted Meese Sr & Mary (Zahn) Meese. Throughout her years, she moved many times, eventually leading to her favorite place to live, Metaline Falls, WA. It was here that she graduated in 1965 at Selkirk High School and soon after met and married Rocky Capehart. Their first born, Ronda was born in 1966 in Metaline Falls, and soon after, their son Brian was born in 1970 in Spokane, WA. 

Zandra had many accomplishments throughout her life, including being a surgical technician for several local hospitals, and serving as secretary for many years at The Newman Lake Ladies Aid (the oldest ladies club in the state of WA.) Zandra loved oil & acrylic painting, gardening, baking and was a devout Catholic. In 2008, she moved to The Vintage apartments where she met her dear friend and companion, Tom Armstrong. Together they attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. In December 2024, she transitioned to Coffman Quality Care where she finished out the remainder of her life receiving exceptional love and support. 

Surviving her are her grandchildren, Joshua Johnson, Nicholas (Rachel) Johnson, Jillian (Jacob) Yeo, great granddaughter, Scout Yeo & soon to be great grandson, Bodhi Yeo. Also surviving her is her brother, Ted (Lori) Meese Jr, sister Dottie (Meese) Smith, half-brother, Rob Orchard and many nieces and nephews in southern Idaho. 

Proceeding her in death are her parents, her half-sister, Sheila Orchard and her beloved children, Ronda and Brian. 

Memorial services will be held at 11 AM on November 14th, at Hennessey Funeral Home & Crematory on Division.
