Jean Ann Marinkovic passed away on May 18, 2022, in Spooner at the age of 90.
Jean was born on July 15, 1931, to Clifford and Alice Martell and lived most of her life in the Milwaukee area until moving to Washburn County in the 1990s. On July 17, 1950, she married George Marinkovic and together they raised two daughters: Debora Lynn Harrold and Karen Dilts.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, both daughters and her sister Yvonne, but in spite of this, she always remained upbeat and positive. She is survived by her son-in-law, Jim Bethel of Spooner, niece Susan Franke of Ocala, Florida, and her best friend, Milda Brainerd of Spooner.
Jean was a hundred-pound woman with a 20-pound smile. Her friends enjoyed her wonderful nature, her kindness, her sense of humor and quick wit. Jean was always quick to point out things that she felt were not right.
Jean was a regular league bowler and longtime member of the Butternut Women's Golf League and participated in both well into her 80s.
Jean was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and passionately watched every game. She was preceded in death by Bart Starr and Vince Lombardi and survived by Aaron Rodgers.
A private service will be held at a later date. Anyone wishing to donate in her name could do so to the Washburn County Humane Society.
