News Death Notice

WAGNER, Amaleen (Boyd) 85, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday morning, March 5, 2014 at the Springfield Masonic Community Pathways Center. She was born in Louisa, Kentucky on June 7, 1928, the daughter of the late James and Mary (Castle) Boyd. A life-long homemaker, Amaleen loved cooking and baking, playing cards and animals. She also loved to travel, especially to Yellowstone National Park and the Rocky Mountain West. She is survived by a daughter, Vickie Wagner Auckerman of Springfield; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Patti Wagner, also of Springfield; a sister, Carnalee Graham Ehrle of Phoenix, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orrin Wagner in 2000; a daughter, Dawn Wagner in 2012; and four brothers, Jim, Ed, Raymond, and Heskell Boyd. Amaleen's funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Alan Cain officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
