News Death Notice
HAMILTON, Andrew Wayne Aloha to our beloved 39, of Honolulu, Hawaii passed away December 17, 2011. Andrew was born June 9, 1972 in Springfield, Ohio. He was a resident of Henderson, NV for 18 years and graduated from Basic High School. Most recently he worked in retail. Andrew was known for his love of family, genuine kindness and love of the outdoors. Andrew is survived by his parents, mother Janice M. Tursi and father Rollie Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Dewey & Pearl Ashely; and his paternal grandparents Gladys & Rollie Hamilton Sr. (Pap Paw Dad). He is also survived by his step-sisters Michelle Paragin and Melissa Tursi. As well as his uncles Don Halloway, Donny Jimmy and Clifton Ashley; aunts Ruthie (Sis) Halloway, Wilma and Gale Ashley. Also, survived by his cousins; Christopher, Kyle, Lynn, Jimmy Jr and his special cousin Shannon Ashley. A private service by Rev. Wayne Kelly will be held. Andrew will always be a hero in our hearts.

Cannot believe that you have not been in our mortal realm for two years now. Your Mother misses you so very, very much. Her every action on earth is done with you in mind and as a legacy to your life - and boy did you live - good for you. Of course, you do you know about your new little furry "sister?". No one can replace Hootie but the new addition to the family really helps Larry and your Mother on a daily basis. Keep smiling down on your Mother and all of us who love her.

You sure must have laughed up a storm yesterday and we here on earth felt the droplets because you were laughing so hard that there were tears. Your Mother put on another one of her FABULOUS FUNNY FASHION SHOWS. What can we say, your Mother outdid herself AGAIN. Andy, you most certainly won the lottery as far as Mother's are concerned. Every thing your Mother does, she does with LOVE and in a big way. Andy you are truly blessed.

It is so gratifying to see your Mother being Happy. Dotty had a birthday party for her Mother (Amy Rice) at Regency and for once most of the work was not done by YOUR MOTHER. Thus she had more time to relax, be happy, enjoy the party and relate to the residents. It was a hellofa party. Dotty certainly knows how to fill a room and make them all happy. Your Mother and Dotty make a most awesome team. Andy, I know that you smile down on your Mother every day.....she basks in your love.

What can be said about a Mother's love....it is all consuming and ever powerful and EVERLASTING. Went to Regency Palms to share Easter with your Mother and the residents. Again, I was amazed at how your Mother takes care of every little detail for the residents to make sure that their Easter was special. What your Mother does for the residents is only one thousandth of the love that she has showm for you, Andrew, my dear, both you and your Mother are bound together in eternity with the love that only a Mother and Son can share. Yesterday, was a Hawaiian theme day at Regency Palms complete with a Hawaiian menu in the dining room and a wonderful Hula Revue Show. Boy oh boy, can your Mama shake her hips. Andrew, your Mother is JUST PLAIN AWESOME. Yesterday at Regency Palms your Mother put together a fantastic Fashion Show featuring the residents, She coordinated everything as well as producing the event, writing the scenarios, designing and making the outfits that the models wore. Your son, Andy, certainly knows how to relay a message from God Almighty. I know for sure that he is with the Lord and he sent a sign that even us mere mortals could not miss. After the balloon release during his Celebration of Life, the sign was big and bold, the POWER went off at Regency Palms. But my dear Andrew your eyes are seeing the beauty of Africa through the eyes you graciously wished to give to those who are blind. I just received a letter today from those recipients and it healed a sorrow from my pain to know what a smart loving and giving man I raised you to be Andrew. May you rest in peace until we meet again.

I did not have the pleasure of knowing this wonderful man, however I do have the pleasure of working with his mom Janice. If her son is anything like her I'm sure the world was so lucky to have him in our prescence. No parent should ever have to bury their child, and for this unexplainable hurt, I am truly sorry. The most special time Regency Palms Assisted Living and Memory Care was able to share with Anedrew was Christmas Day of 2008 when he came as Santa Claus. Our resident and staff were so excited and gifts were given to everyone. I must say the best gift I was given by Andrew was being able to meet his Mom Janice. She has a heart of gold which on that Christmas Day when I met Andrew I could see that his heart is as big as his Moms. I've only spoken to Larry his stepfather on the phone but I considered him a good friend as well. Andrew was a lucky man to have them as his parents. We will all meet again.
