News Death Notice
THOMAS, Brenna Jo 30, of Enon passed away Friday, August 12, 2011 in her home. She was born September 25, 1980 in Springfield to Sharon (Sherry) Bostick of Enon and Larry (and Gloria) Bostick of Enon. Brenna is a devoted wife a loving mother and a true friend. She found a way to brighten any room and bring sunshine to a cloudy day. Brenna was a strong woman who stood beside her family, a cornerstone and an example for others to follow. She was a member of the Enon United Methodist Church, and was a graduate of Greenon High School, class of 1998. Brenna is survived by her loving husband, Charles Michael Thomas, whom she married on February 19, 2005, a daughter, Ashton Thomas, a son, Aiden Thomas, a sister, Beth Bostick, Father-in-law, Terry L. Thomas, Mother-in-Law, Margie A. Thomas and Grandmother Betty Greene of Freedom, PA. Brenna will be truly missed by numerous dear family and friends. Funeral Service will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, August 17, 2011 in the Enon United Methodist Church, Enon, with Pastor Jeff Mohr officiating. Burial will follow the service in Enon Cemetery. A visitation will be held 5-8pm Tuesday in Adkins Funeral Home, Enon. Brenna's family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made in her name to the Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517 Topeka, KS 66675-8517. woundedwarriorsproject.org

You were the most genuine, loving, passionate, and free-spirited person I had the honor of knowing and calling friend. You were ALWAYS there when I needed you and always had a way of lighting up the darkest of days. I can't begin to tell you how much you meant to me and how much you meant to everyone around you. You were more than just a friend to me, you were like a sister. I have countless happy memories of you (including bonfires, Goodwill shopping and helping the guys work on the cars) and will cherish them forever. I hope to become half the woman, wife, and mother you were. I will always remember your beautiful smile and random humor (which definitely rubbed off on me). I wish I could go back in time and tell you all these things, but I know you are looking down on all of us from heaven and hearing everything we are saying. Until we see each other again...I'll be missing you. xo

Sherry and Larry, We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your daughter, Brenna. We have not met Brenna but from what we have just read about her in this guest book, we can tell she was a wonderful person. We are so sorry that you have to go through such a loss. Brenna made rice Krispie treats for Ashton's Halloween party at school last year. Ashton volunteered her mother. Unknown to Ashton, her mom had never made rice krispie treats before. But the trooper she was, she threw herself into the project. She made adorable green Frankenstein monster heads with fruit gummy nuts and bolts. They were precious. Ashton 'helped' of course. Brenna was a super suportive parent...very appreciated by Ashton's teacher!

i have so many great memories of brenna as that energetic underclassman that could light up a room! even at the darkest, gloomiest, rainiest football game she always had a smile lighting up the marching band's stands. i'm so glad there was someone like her to be the older example and lead the way once my little sister got to greenon. she was a great friend to me, and then to her too! to all her family, you are in my prayers. she was always be in your heart.

You were one of the first people I met when I moved to Enon in 1st grade. I'd say that I always liked you, but we both know that wouldn't be truthful. We battled quite a bit. The news of you passing instantly took me back to 20 years ago to our childhood. I started laughing trying to remember how many times we got in trouble for jumping on the waterbed, yet we continued to do it every time. We had many great experiences as children in Girl Scouts, Bible School, Drill Team…the list goes on.
