Family-Placed Obituary

KIEFFER, Carolyn Sue 60, of Springfield, went to be with her parents and sister on Thursday August 26, 2004, after a four year battle with cancer. She was born in Greene County, Ohio on September 6, 1944 to Reva and Leonard Geis. Carol was a longtime dispatcher for the German Township Fire/EMS Department and served as secretary to the Tremont City Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband Frank; sons, Craig (Ann) Kieffer and Brad Kieffer; daughter, Holly (James) Walters; grandsons, James Boles, Chris Dickenson, and Ray Walters; three brothers, Joe, John, and Steve (Sue) Geis; sister, Rita Geis; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Connie (George) Harris. Graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday August 30, 2004 in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Tremont City, with Pastor Jim Fannin, officiating. A gathering of family and friends will immediately follow at the Tremont United Methodist Church, 98 N. Mulberry Street. The family is being served by the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, Springfield. You may express condolences to the family at www.littletonandrue.com
