Dale McClintock Obituary


News Death Notice

McCLINTOCK, Dale M. 76, of Springfield, went to be with the Lord, Thursday morning, June 9, 2011 at the Ohio Masonic Home. He was born in Springfield on April 23, 1935, the son of the late Eugene and Ethel Blanche (Rust) McClintock. In 1985, Tom retired from the City of Springfield Water Department after 34 years of service. He was a member of Jesus Only Church, where he was part of their music ministry and helped build the church addition. He was an avid woodworker and for a short time, farmed in South Vienna. He is survived by his wife of nearly 58 years, Kay F. (Priest) McClintock; son and daughter-in- law, Timothy and Terri McClintock of Springfield; daughter- in-law, Catherine McClintock of Simpsonville, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Cole Thomas McClintock, Missy McClintock, John K. (Natalie) Deselem, Karl V. Deselem, and Thomas G. Tinker III; and two great grandchildren, Maddie and Wyatt Deselem. Also surviving is a sister, Carolyn (Clarence) Montgomery of Springfield; brother, Jerry (Linda) McClintock of Springfield; a host of nieces and nephews; a special brother in the Lord, Paul (Sue) Menda; and a dear friend, Patty Foltz who called Tom "G.W". He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Dale McClintock; two sisters, Norma Hayes and Patty McClintock; and six brothers, Roger, Dick, Bill, Ronnie, Donnie, and Bobby. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-6 p.m. Sunday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME as well as one hour prior to the service which will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Jesus Only Church, 532 Kinnane Ave., Springfield. Brother Ray Cain will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. You may express condolences to the family at www.littletonandrue.com
