News Death Notice
KENNEDY, Dean H. Age 70, of Saint Paris passed away on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 11:00 p.m. in Oakwood Village, Springfield, OH. Born on April 10, 1944 in Troy, OH, Dean was a son of the late Kenneth Oril and Nancy E. (Woods) Kennedy. Dean is survived by three children and their spouses: Brad and Jamie Kennedy of Saint Paris, OH, Chad and Kelly Kennedy of Troy, OH, and Shelly and Matt McAlexander of Urbana, OH; ten grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. A sister, Bonnie (Ed) Moak of Mississippi also survives. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Weaver. Dean was a 1964 graduate of Graham High School and attended Springfield Technical College. He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1969 and he was formerly employed by Roberts and Sons of Piqua, OH. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield Street, Saint Paris, OH. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, 800 S. Hyatt Street, Tipp City, Ohio. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, two hours prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
