Family-Placed Obituary
HENRY, Edna B. "Granny" 100, of South Vienna, died at 11:55 a.m. Thursday, January 13, 2005. She was born December 15, 1904 in Pleasant Township of Madison County, she was a daughter of Harley Edward and Sallie (Swank) Bowshier. She was a member of the Discovery Church of the Nazarene in Columbus. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Frank and Barbara Henry of Mechanicsburg; daughters Christina Lambert, Cenis Shatto, and Grace Kellough all of Springfield and Doris Byers of Mechanicsburg; grandchildren Vicki Johnson, Gary Hayman and Larry Henry all of London, John and Paul Henry, Pam Tull, Charles, Vernon and Jim Byers and Billie Brown all of Mechanicsburg, Ron Henry, Molly Hamilton and Steve Kellough all of South Charleston, Terry Henry of South Vienna, Della Hammergran, Saundra Deards, Bryan Lambert, Beverly Louden, Becky Dinnen, Danny Shatto, Jackie Demory, Dawn Green, Terri Adams, Cindy Graham, Robin Leslie, David and Roger Kellough and Freada Henry all of Springfield, Mary Byers and Debbie Daniels of Urbana, Christina Steagal of Laura, Ohio and Verna Swank of Georgia; several great-grandchildren including a very special great-grandson, Larry Henry, Jr. (Diana) of Virginia; several great- great-grandchildren; sister Viola Rosa of Columbus and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John Seymour Henry; son John B. Henry; three sisters; two brothers; grandchildren Rose Brown, William Hayman, Cathy Landis and Jennifer Byers; and sons-in-law Ronald Shatto, Gene Kellough, and Vernon Byers. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME, London, with Reverend Malcolm R. Schoener officiating. Interment will follow in South Vienna Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Sunday. Family condolences may be made to www.eberlefisherfuneralhome.com.

Morning Granny, I woke up this morning thinking of you, the littles stayed all night and I was telling them stories of my childhood and all the fun times we had together, If I can give half of the love you gave us, I know there heart will be full of love, you would cheer on us when we needed it and pinch and pull our hair when we needed it, miss those warm stove/cooking fires, the cinnamon toast, shredded wheat makes me think of Mr. Lawton and how he would use the cardboard of the cereal box to line up his sentences when writing his letters as he was blind, piling up in all the quilts and blankets, sitting around the TV and watching westerns, or you telling us scary stories, I still recall some of them and I have told my kids and their kids, singing old rugged cross and pony pony brown, making pot holders and crocheting, Christmas with all the family, I could go on and on, my grands know you as Granny Henry just like the rest of us, they even visit you at the cemetery when making the rounds. No one can hold a candle to you being the best Granny ever, I love and miss you so much, about the time I think I'm done talking to you, I think of something else I want to mention, like how I soaked the kids red clothes in a bucket of salt water before washing, so they wouldn't bleed, works like magic, you taught me about kindness, standing up for yourself, God and so much more. Give my love to all up there especially Dad, Mom, Molly Kaye and Freada, I miss you so much, until we meet again , keep them euchres a going, I love you ....Cindy Sue

I love and cherish every memory with you and I brag of all the fun times at your and grandpas house and everything you taught me I have told my kids and grandkids about al the fun from your good cooking to all us piling i your bed and you telling stories to the goat and the outhouse and potato farm and Xmas party’s and snow drifts over our heads No one can ever take your place you were granny to everyone Now one of your favorites has come to join you in your heavenly home a Angel who you raised with a heart of gold may she Rest In Peace you were her Rock.
