Family-Placed Obituary
MADER, Evelyn P. 85, a resident of Villa Springfield, died there at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday. She was born in Piqua, Ohio on February 5, 1921 the daughter of George and Clementine (Martz) Cardo. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. Survivors include her 11 children and spouses, William (Linda) Mader, James (Doris) Mader, Richard (Patricia) Mader, Gerald (Jeannie) Mader all of Springfield, Donald (Cindy) Mader of Columbus, David (Rosalind) Mader, Eugene (Joyce) Mader, Judith (Doug) Geron, Dianne (Patrick) Kane, Linda Ferryman, Deborah (Timothy) Evans all of Springfield and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter R. in 1974; an infant son, Robert; brother, William Cardo and sister, Maxine Beaty. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in St. Bernard Church. Visitation will be held Friday morning beginning at 11 a.m. in CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

I just happen to subscribe to the News & Sun via the internet. I am so sorry to see the loss of Evelyn Mader. She was a big inspiration in my life. When Art & I got married, she gave us an ironing board that she and Whitey had had since they had married. The ironing board is no longer used to iron on but it is still in our family. Prayers and sympathy are with you all.
