Forrest HAWK Obituary
News Death Notice
HAWK, Forrest Edward 64, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013. He was born December 10, 1948 in Springfield, the son of Paul and Murbie (McGowan) Hawk. Mr. Hawk was the former owner of Continental Beauty Salon in Springfield and had been a hairdresser for 30 years. He was an S. T. N. A. and helped open the Hearth and Home facilities in Urbana and Springfield. Forrest loved his garden, his flowers and his beloved pets and was loved by all who knew him. Survivors include his loving companion and partner for 30 plus years; Marc Smith and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by sisters; Connie Stier and Inez Dodds, brother; William Wade Phillips and his parents. Funeral services will be held at 5:00PM Saturday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be held from 3:00PM until the time of the services.

Thank you for being there when no one else was and thank you for all the memories.Time really is short and taken for granted and you don't truely realize how much you love someone until they're gone.You were like a father to me when I was young and I wish I'd done more to have you in my families life.I'm sorry and will always remember you.
