Family-Placed Obituary

POLIS, Frank A. age 85, of Troy, passed away on December 21, 2005. Frank worked for many years at Dayton Rubber and later retired from Apex Machine Tool as a cost accountant. He was also an entrepreneur owning several area Fantastic Sams Hair Salons. Frank was a member of the Huber Heights Masonic Lodge 777, Free and Accepted Masons, the Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, the Antioch Shrine where he was a veteran of the Antioch Pipers and a member of the First Baptist Church of Vandalia. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Verna Maxine (Hefflinger) Faler-Polis; daughters and son-in-law, Judy K. Herman, of Florida, Anita (Dave) Bannerman, of Springfield, Nancy E. Polis, of Michigan; two step-sons and daughters-in-law, Steven (Joanne) Faler, of Troy, Michael (Kelley) Faler, of Columbus; grandson, Michael (Stacy) Mounts, of Florida; great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Isabel Mounts; six step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathryn Polis; parents, Giuseppe and Maria Pugliese; five sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, December 27 the the KINDRED FUNERAL HOME (400 Union Boulevard, Englewood) with Pastor Charles Betts officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, from 5 to 8 pm with Masonic services beginning at 7:45 pm. Interment will be held at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens in Brookville at the convenience of the family. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio Masonic Home or to the Huber Heights Masonic Lodge 777, Endowment Fund.
