News Death Notice

CHASE, Georgia M. 98, of Springfield, a loving mother and grandmother passed away Feb 11, 2013 in the Sterling House. She was born in Springfield, Ohio on March 8, 1914, the daughter of Charles and Mabel Ebright. Georgia was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and working in her flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Forest David Chase; son David Chase; sister Pearl Needles; and brother Edward Ebright. Survivors include her daughter Mary Ann (Bob) Davis of Springfield; sister Ruth Martin of Arab, AL; granddaughters Elizabeth (Mike Jewell) Davis of Charlotte, NC, Rebecca (Chad Garvin) Davis of Hilliard, and Sarah (Santosh Nachu) Davis of Columbus; nephews Jim Martin and Rev. Richard (Linda) McDaniels; nieces Janet Amlin and Ruth Anne Salser; special friends Judy O'Neill and the O'Neill family, Jim and Mickey Sweeney, Norma Blanton, Louise Stecconi, and Esther Baker. The family would like to thank the Sterling House and their staff, especially Trina and Crossroads Hospice for their exceptional care and support. Services to honor Georgia will be Saturday, Feb 16, 2013 at 11:00AM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME with Pastors Orbie Estep and Richard McDaniel officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 10-11 AM. Burial to follow in Ferncliff Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.richardsraffanddunbar.com

Mary Ann, I haven't seen you for more than 50 years, but I remember you and your mother very well. She gave you the nicest brthday parties and we all enjoyed them. I hope these memories will bring a smile to your face. Please, know I am thinking of you today.

I am so sorry for the loss of your Mother. I am so glad that our Mothers (Hazel Cordrey) became friends at the Sterling House, she was a very sweet lady and quite a character!
