James BALDWIN Obituary
News Death Notice
BALDWIN, James B. (Jim) 80, of Springfield, passed away in Forest Glen Health Campus Monday, July 1, 2013 after an extended illness. He was born October 31, 1932 in Springfield, OH the son of the late Edward and Mary Baldwin. He proudly served his country as a staff sergeant in the US Air Force and was an employee of the International Harvester Company, retiring from there after 44 years of service. He was known to most people as a euchre aficionado although his grandchildren loved to play pinochle with him too. He was a member of Anthony Lodge #455 F &AM, Past Patron of Neal Chapter O.E.S. and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon. James is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Jim C. and Peggy Baldwin of North Carolina, daughter and son-in-law Barb and Tom Dotson of Springfield; five grandchildren: Erica Baldwin of Springfield, OH, Craig and Amy Baldwin of High Pt., NC., Tommy Dotson of Greensboro, NC and Laura Dotson and her fiancé, Mike Palumbo of Springfield/Beavercreek. He is also survived by his extended family Marianne Towler, Jenna, Kristen and Kaiden Mott of Phoenix, AZ. He is survived by his brother-in-law Warren Craig of Arizona, and sister-in-law Peggy Craig of Springfield. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Nancy C. Baldwin eight years ago, his son Jay Baldwin and granddaughter Terah Baldwin. He was also preceded in death by his brother Robert Baldwin, and three sisters Betty, Ruth, Catherine. The family is very thankful for the staff at Forest Glen and Gentiva Hospice for the wonderful care they provided. Memorial contributions are requested to the American Cancer Society, Gentiva Hospice or the Nehemiah Foundation. Services to honor James will be Friday at Noon in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME with Pastor Mark Martin of Maiden Lane Church of God officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until time of services. Burial to follow in Fletcher Chapel Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.richardsraffanddunbar.com
