News Death Notice
APPLEGATE, Jeanette Sue 63, of Springfield, passed away November 18, 2015. She was born July 30, 1952 in Wood County, West Virginia, the daughter of Earl Emory and Myra Belle (Bills) Shanks. Jeanette had been employed at Speedway. Survivors include her husband; Luther Norman Applegate Jr., two children; Samantha Elam and Jennifer McKenzie, eight grandchildren, one brother; Jim Shanks and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother; Michael Shanks. Private services will be held for the family. Arrangements are being handled by the JONES - KENNEY - ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.

Sorry to hear of Jeanette's passing. I remember meeting her at Alpha Nazarene Church. She was the sweetest woman. My heart goes out to Norm and the family.
