News Death Notice

HARTSOCK, Jeffrey Keith 54, of Kettering, passed away early Wednesday morning, May 13, 2009, at Kettering Medical Center, Kettering, OH. Jeffrey was born on October 28, 1954 in Bellefontaine, OH to Marjorie Jean Arthur Phillips, who resides in Lakeview, OH and the late Robert L. Hartsock. He is also survived by two Daughters: Jennifer Lynne Hartsock and Jessica Kay Hartsock, two brothers: Bruce (Kathie) Gilson, Sr., Kyle, TX, Dana R. Hartsock, Lakeview, OH, a niece: Deana Godwin, three nephews: Paul Gilson, Bruce Alan (Amy) Gilson Jr., and Jason R. Hartsock, five great nephews, and longtime companion: Frances Kender, Kettering, OH. Jeffrey was an Air Force Veteran. He worked as a machinist and enjoyed fishing and woodworking. Per Mr.Hartsocks wishes, his body has been cremated. Pastors Bruce A. Gilson Sr. and Jr. will conduct a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 17, 2009 at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview, with visitation one hour prior. Memorial contributions may be given in his name to the American Breast Cancer Foundation. Arrangements are being handled by Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview. Fran, my deepest condolences to you during this difficult time. Im sorry I did not make it to the memorial service to be there for you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Jeff was a lifelong friend of my brother. There are many memories of them together that will always be remembered and laughed about. And some that will be remembered and wondered about. But regardless of whether they were good or not, Jeff will always be remembered.
