I would like to share a few thoughts on my feelings toward Annie. I have known the Kemper family most of my life and what a great family. Led by a great lady. I married and had my first son (Dusty) very early in life. Some say maybe to early. But i relied on family and friends like Bob and Jim for advise and encouragement. I normally would show up at the Kemper house weekly after marriage. Annie would let me in and I would head to the basement to see Jim. After a while of this Annie started asking me me where my wife was. After answering and that was usually it. One day i asked her why she always asked the same question and she said this to me that I carry with me to this day. She said "Doug, you are a boy and you think you are a man by getting married and having a baby?". She continued, "what makes you a man is being there and taking care of that wife and baby. You can't do that by sitting in the basement with Jim".I thought a lot about that and after that the visits might not have come as often but they still happened. But funny thing happened, after i told Annie what the family was doing, i was invited to sit at the bar with Annie, we discussed the headlines in the paper that was always laying at the end of the bar, discussed family, friends and depending on the time of day maybe even a beer or two. After a while i would finally make it down to see Jim. Life started to get busy as the kids grew and my visits to Annie pretty much stopped when Jim left. I would see her around town and different family functions. I always said that i need to stop by and see Annie like i used to. One regret i will have is that I never did stop to see Annie. But her words to me 30 years ago will be with me forever. You will be greatly missed.

Teresa, Steve, and family ~
I never had the privilege of meeting your mom, but I KNOW she had to be a wonderful woman to raise such a kind, loving woman. May she rest in peace. We will be saying lots of prayers for all of you in the coming, days, weeks, and months.

We will miss Annie's sweet smile. We had just seen her the Sat. before and she was doing so well. She had become part of our family over the past few years as she was a close cousin & friend to my mother-in-law, Janet Kemper. May God be with you all in the sad days ahead and may Annie rest in peace.
