Dad, It's been a month ago today that you died. I still cry every day. But I still also have the most wonderful memories of growing up. Memories of you and Mom guiding us, loving us in spite of what we did. Happy dreams Dad. I love you and I miss you. Be good, be kind, be careful.

Grandpa,
I miss you so much. My best and most cherished memories are my summer visits to Ohio. I loved staying at the house, watching you at your work bench (I too stick out my tongue when I'm working, and noticed Maddie doing the same thing for the first time the day you passed, which made me smile), going to church with you and grandma, always wondering at an early age what you were writing down in your notepad, helping grandma in the garden, you pushing me on the swing in the backyard, your love of reading (especially westerns), teaching me to finally drive the lawn mower only to crash into the garage, sitting in the backseat of the car while grandma "told" you how to drive, and your big hugs and smile. I don't need to ask you to watch over myself and the family because I know you already are. Although, I was unable to visit last July, I loved our last conversation. You were the best grandpa anyone could ask for. Until we meet again, I will sign this the way we have always signed cards and letters... love, kisses and prayers,
xoxo

Dad, words cannot express the sadness I feel because you are no longer with us here on Earth, but to know you are with God eases that pain. All nine of us kids were blessed having you as a father. You were gentle, kind, intelligent, and never afraid to push us to be better, to work harder, to take risks and go the distance. You instilled in all of us a strong belief in God. With your example, you showed us how to live moral lives full of love and compassion for all. Dad, you were the best father God ever placed on this Earth, and I speak for all of us when I say, we dearly miss you. You have earned your way to Heaven. Go with God and please watch over us until we can all meet again. I love you dad (and grandpa and great-grandpa).

Grandpa,
I will miss you very much! The best memories of my childhood were those spent at "The House" for family reunions or Christmas. I am blessed to have had such a perfect Grandpa. You are great role model for us and I am proud to call myself a McAtee! To the other cousins out there, it was great to see us all together and to catch up. I think Grandpa said it best, "We have a great family"!! I think we owe that all to Grandma and Grandpa. Let's all stay in touch. I love you Grandpa, see you on the other side and tell Patrick we love and miss him too.
