News Death Notice

HAMILTON, Kenneth Ray 66, of Springfield died Monday, Dec 13, 2010 in the Vitas Hospice, Dayton. He was born in Urbana, Ohio on May 22, 1944, the son of Guy R. and Nolia J. Hamilton. Ken retired from Lazarus and had previously worked for Johns-Manville. He attended Maiden Lane Church of God and was an avid BINGO player. Ken also served in the US Army. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Christina Page, Judy Williams, Valena Stillwell, and Jane Nicholes; brothers Wayne and Guy Hamilton. His survivors include his wife Virginia M. Hamilton; sisters Delilah Tyree and Patty Watson all of Springfield and Jo Hubbard of Louisiana; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Services will be Friday at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Rose Hill Burial Park with Rev. Orbie Estep officiating. I lived next door to Kenny's sister in West Liberty. He lived there awhile and then moved to Springfield. I used to hear about him once awhile and knew he had married. I knew he had some hard times. My sympathies to his wife especially and family.
