1941 - 2017

SHAW, Sr., Kenneth E. 75, of Chillicothe, formerly a longtime resident of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017. He was born September 13, 1941 in Chillicothe, the son of James H. and Elizabeth E. (Sheets) Shaw. Mr. Shaw retired from Cooper Energy and then started Shaw's Construction. He loved woodworking, fishing, deer hunting, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his children, Kenneth Shaw, Jr. of Brooklet, GA, Juanita (Zane) Evans of Chillicothe, Steven Maynard (Daniel Dillahunt) of Springfield, Tonya Shaw of Chillicothe, Kelly Maynard of Springfield, Clint (Melanie) Shaw, and Charity (Butch) Nolan, all of Chillicothe; two grandchildren who he helped raise, Brandon and Paige Maynard, both of Springfield; several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara (Howard) Everhart of SC, Carolyn (Frank) Clary, Mary Ann (Jack) Conley, all of Chillicothe, Rayna Shaw (Dean) of Frankfort, OH; brothers, Mike (Mary Ann) Shaw of Chillicothe, Darryl (Barbara) Shaw of Croton, OH, and Rod Shaw of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Regina K. Maynard-Shaw; brother, James L. Shaw; sister, Cathy Shaw; granddaughter, Kelli Rose; and his parents. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Friday in Rose Hill Chapel. Friends may visit with the family from 2-3 pm in the chapel. Entombment will follow. Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
