News Death Notice
BEARD, Kimberly of Springfield, Ohio received her soul's rest when she passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2012. Kimberly Beard was born Tuesday, September 11, 1956 to Charles and Anna (Moreland) Beard. She was a member of Trinity African Methodist Episcopal Church where she sang God's praises with the Senior Choir. Kim graduated from Springfield South High School and Tuskegee (Institute) University. She leaves to carry on the struggle her loving parents; Charles and Anna; her daughter, Faith J. Beard; one grandson, Hakim W. Beard; two sisters, Jan (James) Williams and Julie Beard; two nephews, Charles (Charmaine) Beard and Earl Taylor III all of Springfield, Ohio; two nieces, Ivy Beard of Columbus, Ohio and Katherine Beard of Wilberforce, Ohio; special nephew Marcus Clark; her uncle, Mort Moreland, four aunts; dear friends, Jacquelyn Lambert-Davis, Janine Strother-Dogan, Shirley Roberts and Elisa Smith; numerous cousins, other relatives and friends. Service will be Friday, January 13, 2012 at 6 p.m. at the Trinity A.M.E. Church, Pastor Dwight Smith, 554 Selma Road, Springfield, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Negro Fund, P.O. Box 10444, Fairfax, Virginia 22031. Funeral arrangements provided by the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.

I really don't know how to put into words how hearing of this just breaks my heart. I did not find out til the services were all ready done and I did not get to see my friend one last time. I loved working with Kimberly at M&M and did not mind giving rides if she needed them. She was really inspiring to me, she lived her life every day like there was never anything wrong. When she started getting sick, I went up to see her one time in the hospital, I work there, and they had her so sedated, she never knew I was there. I did talk to her when she got out and told her that I was there. She said that she was sorry...nothing to be sorry about, just checking on a friend. May God be with you and your family as you continue to heal. I loved you Kimberly because you always made me laugh and loved your stories. Peace be with you.

Faith and family, Don't know if you remember me or not, but my mom and I worked at Doc's and pretty much watched you grow up. We were so sorry to hear of your mothers passing. She such a sweet lady. She was nice enough to help my daughter with a project about Kwanza and I never forgot it. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time of your loss.

dear jan and family. it has sadden me to hear about the lost of kim. kim and i went to school together. we had alot of fun talking and laughing. she will surely be miss by her family and friends who all knew and love her. she is at peace and no more pain cause she is with our heavenly father.

To Julie and the rest of the family...I worked with Julie and Kim at Fastrac many years ago...I remember how Kim always had a smile for everyone. It did not matter who you were, as long as you treated her with respect, that is what you got back from her. RIP Kim. You will be missed.
