News Death Notice
BECHTEL, Larry 68 of Springfield, passed away Thursday October 2, 2014 at home surrounded by family. He was born September 12, 1946 in Springfield, the son of Paul and Anna (Sharp) Bechtel. Larry was a veteran of the US Army, serving in Vietnam. He was retired from Navistar. He enjoyed fishing and working on puzzles. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Barbara (Williams) Bechtel; three children, Bill Bechtel of Springfield, Janie Brown (Dale) of West Milton, OH, and Paul Bechtel of Findlay, OH; 7 grandchildren; two brothers, David (Sandy) Bechtel of Phoenix, AZ and Richard Bechtel of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held at 4:30pm Sunday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00pm until service time.
