To Mark's family. I never got the opportunity to meet you, but I thought I would share my story of the last time I saw Mark. I was at an Airshow in Waynesville, Ohio and my son wanted to go up in a plane. My Dad was a pilot but did not have his own plane at that Airshow, but said they were giving rides to children. My son went and signed up for a ride and was told a lady pilot would be there to meet with him shortly. When the pilot showed up to give him his ride, it was Mark! I certainly was shocked. He recognized me, as well as I recognized him, and we talked a few minutes about our school days. Then he proceeded to get my son and the plane ready for their flight. I told him as they were getting ready to close the door and be on their way, "be very careful, you have precious cargo aboard!" He smiled, and they were on their journey. Well, they were gone twice the time Mark said they would be and of course, this momma was getting nervous! When they finally landed, I told Mark," thank you, but you sure had me worried" He smiled and returned in a few minutes with a certificate of my son's first official airplane ride, and some broucheres on a kids program that he was involved in. After sayig our "good-byes and thanks" my son was telling me all about his flying experience! He had a great time and I guess Mark gave him an experience of his life! He let him take the controls and fly the plane a short while and just spent a lot of one on one time just enjoying the ride and letting him get the real experience of flying. I never saw Mark after that but always wanted to "Thank him" for taking the time to give my son a wonderful memory! I am sure the man that Mark was, left lasting empressions on many families lives. R.I.P. Mark. Soar with the eagles!

Coleen, I used to come over when I was a young teenager and spend the weekend with Mark. I've known him since elementary school at Reid School, went to school with him all the way through high school at Shawnee and JVS. I regretfully lost touch with Mark over the last several years. I really miss him, and I'm so sorry for your loss.
