Dear O'Connor Family,

My heart is breaking for you all and you are in my thoughts and prayers. I went to UD with Mark and have many fond memories of him, he was always so sweet and quick to smile... a welcome face on a bad day or any day for that matter! Mr. O'Connor I met you several times our my years at UD, we would all pile in Marks car and head to your house, many times arriving hungry and leaving full! Mark was dear friend during those years, and although we lost touch over the years he always had special place in my heart.

Candyce and kids... I never had the opportunity to meet you, but please know I have been and will continue to pray for you and for Mark.

All My Love,

Katie (Barrett) Alu

Dear O'Connor Family,

Please accept my deepest sympathies and prayers for God's blessings for your family.

I attended the Univ of Dayton with Mark. We had an incredible time at UD and Mark was a great friend.

Three years ago I was assigned to Springfield as my territory as a pharmaceutical sales rep. I was always thinking about Mark and wondered if he still lived in Springfield. Low and behold the next day I walked out of Harding Rd. pharmacy and there he was. We sat and talked for quite some time and it was just like old times. His daughter was with him and he proudly introduced me. He shared with me his recovery from his accident. I was awed by his incredible faith and perseverence. He let me know he was studying to regain his PA certification and looking forward to returning to work. It was great to see him at the Roberto's office & I am grateful that we reconnected after so many years since college.

I will miss Mark -- he touched my life and he was a dear friend.

God Bless You all.

To the O'Connor Family:

I am an old friend of Mark's from University of Dayton. Mark was one of my closest friends there at school. We even studied abroad in Europe together in the Spring/Summer of 1982 with UD.

I cannot tell you how many times over the years that I have run into someone from Springfield. All I had to do is ask if they knew the O'Connor Family-most of the time, if they didn't know one of you personally, they had surely heard the family name.

When I heard the news of Mark's passing, a flood of great memories came back to me of our college days. I am so saddened.

And Mr. O'Connor I met you many years ago a few times with Mark in Springfield and at UD.

We all know how Mark loved to talk. We had this in common. He shared many great memories and thoughts of all of his family. He always had a story about his Dad and his brothers, that would go right along with whatever we were talking about at the time.

He was so proud of his Father and how what a great job he did at raising his boys.

Candyce, I know that I have met you before. If my memory serves me, it was in Columbus on a few occasions...

Candyce, I do remember when Mark met you and was dating and falling in love with you. We had long phone conversations and he told me about you. I am glad that I had the pleasure to meet you.

He loved you all so much. Family was so important to him. We both came from large Catholic families and this is one thing that we had in common...

I have not seen Mark since the late 80's or so or since our single days. I am so happy to hear that Mark and Candyce are blessed with two lovely daughters. I am so glad that he was given the gift of having his own family, as I have a wonderful husband and three children (one daughter and two boys) myself. I am sure that this brought him great joy over the years.

There is a whole group of old friends from UD that even though we all may have gone our separate ways, still have very fond memories of our UD days and hold Mark dear in our hearts.

When I think of Mark, I will remember and know that he was a dear friend when our paths met during the 80's.

I am saddened to hear of Mark's passing. One thing that Mark and I did talk about a lot was our strong faith in God. He was a very conscientious and caring person.

My prayers are with Mark and his family-each and every one of you.

I pray for his soul and know that God accepts him into his heavently kingdom. Mark is looking down on all of us all right now and swelling with pride at all of the love that he is feeling from his friends and family.

I pray for all of Mark's family, especially for his parents, brothers, wife and daughters.

I am so thankful that I am able to express my thoughts about Mark's passing to his family and friends.

Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Fondly,

Julie Kreber-Mullenix

I haven't been in touch with Mark for several years, but have thought of him & his family often over the years. I didn't have the opportunity to meet his wife or children. Mark was always a special person and a great friend. He was a delight to go to school with all my childhood years at St. Theresa and Catholic Central. I will always have fond memories of how he made me laugh and what a great guy he was! I know in my heart he had proven to be an excellent man of itegrity to his family and community. I will keep his WHOLE family in my prayers!

Mark had a very positive impact on me and my family. His strength of faith and dedication to our mutual love of working in the medical field was such a God given gift. Dear Candyce, Kathleen and Maura, We will remember your dad as the wonderful father he was. He was always such fun; taking Laura with you to Kings Island, watching scary movies, going skating and bike riding. Laura particularly remembers what a good cook he was. We still use his Italian chicken recipe. She always looked forward to doing things with your family. Mark was a kind and gentle man with incredible faith and that is how we will remember him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Fondly,

There are no words to express my condolonces to all of you, espicially Candyce, Kathleen and Maura. Mark was one of the kindest and most sincere people I have ever known. We made our First Communion in Apirl 1969 at St. Theresa's and when we were confirmed in 1972, we laughed because we both chose St. Patrick as our Patron Saint. Although I had not seen Mark for many years, I always remembered his sincere and caring way. The O'Connor brothers are holding one another close as they are all enfolded in Jesus's arms, in a group hug, at peace. My most sincere prayers are with you.
