Michael CAREY Obituary
News Death Notice
CAREY, Michael Brent 61, of Springfield, passed away April 26, 2013 in his home. He was born June 3, 1951 in Springfield the son of Rev. Alfred T. and Jeannette (Richendollar) Carey Jr. Mr. Carey was a member of the Home Road Church of Christ in Christian Union and was a retried firefighter and paramedic with the Springfield Fire Department. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Survivors include his wife of 43 years; Betty (Palmer) Carey, two children; Tammara (Carey) (Mike) Lafferty and Rev. Nathan (Leona) Carey, his mother; Jeannette Carey, three grandchildren; Cassie and Chelsea Lafferty and Conner Carey, one sister; Kathy (Jim) Inskeep, four brothers; Gary (Frances) Carey, Jim (Dianna) Carey, Jack (Karen) Carey and Ron (Lavenna) Carey and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday in the Home Road Church of Christ in Christian Union with Rev. Nathan Carey officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00Noon until the time of the services in the church. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
