News Death Notice
CLARKE, Nancy Donaldson 93, of Springfield, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family on Saturday morning, April 30, 2016. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on September 5, 1922, the daughter of the late Walter Foster and Nan (Van Swearingen) Donaldson. Nancy was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Springfield Country Club and the Women's Town Club. She enjoyed golf, playing Bridge and volunteering. She is survived by two daughters, Sally (Carty) Hall of Cincinnati and Anne Kaull of Rocky River, OH; daughter-in-law, Kate Rust of Cincinnati; eight grandchildren, Emily, Clarke, Cart, Hannah, Merrick, Grey, Zehr, and George; two great grandchildren, Sammy and Danny; two brothers, J. Boyce Donaldson and William P. (Shirley) Donaldson; and dear friends and care givers, Donna and Ronnie Bowshier, Maria Weiss, Lisa Springer, and Lisa McDanel. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Samuel D. Clarke Jr.; a son, Samuel D. Clarke; son-in-law, Lance Kaull; and three siblings. A service in celebration of Nancy's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in Covenant Presbyterian Church with Rev. Raymond Stewart presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Mercy Hospice, 100 W. McCreight Ave., Springfield, OH 45504 or Covenant Presbyterian Church, 201 N. Limestone St., Springfield, OH 45503.

"Mimi"(Nancy)was the best Mother-in-law,Grandmother and Great-Grandmother ever. From the minute I became a member of the Clarke family, some 45 years ago, I have always felt loved and accepted. Through the crazy times of youth, the stabilizing time of parenthood, the agonizing time of loss and the current time of maturity, she has always been there. I will miss being able to share news of my life with her, especially that of her Grand-daughter, Emily, and her twin Great-grandsons, Daniel and Samuel.
