Growing up on the farm in Mechanicsburg would not have been the same without my neighbor and friend Paul. He was always a great guy and will always be remembered.

Paul is so dearly missed by one who loved him deeply. As growing up cousins, I have fond memories of how crazy Paul was and all the tricks and funny things he did to make me laugh. Especially when we attended Circleville Bible College together, each time the prof took the lid off the dead pig in Biology, Paul would always say, Dr. Brown, will you make Bonnie put her shoes back on?" Bernie and I will forever be saddened by his loss and forever happy at the wonderful memories we have of such a great guy.

I would like to share the verses from a most appropriate card to honor Paul.

The Welcoming

A new arrival reached the Gates

where Light of Lights poured out,

and soon, with joy, discovered

what the fuss was all about.

"Welcome!" said a stranger

with a twinkle in his eye.

"I am the lost and frightened child

whose tears you stooped to dry!"

"You're home!" a woman said.

"Now I can say a grateful word

for your prayers beside my sickbed

that you thought I never heard!"

Another said, "You gave me more

than you could quite afford,

and set me on my feet

so I could know and serve the Lord!"

And on and on, the line stretched out

with open arms, they came

whose lives were touched on earth

by one who cared in Jesus' name.

And when at last this loved one

reached the throne room of the Son,

the voice of Love Eternal said,

"Well done, my child, well done."
